The Lehman College athletic department announced today that it is seeking candidates for a full-time Athletic Trainer to coordinate all aspects of the athletic training program for the college's 16 intercollegiate varsity athletic teams and approximately 130 student-athletes. The position remains open until filled, and the review of applicants will start immediately.
The person hired for the position will also work with our team orthopedic physician and Lehman's medical insurance program to ensure that our student-athletes are receiving quality care and rehabilitation. The hired party will be expected to develop an annual operating budget and oversee the purchasing of training room supplies and equipment.
In order to be considered for the position, a Bachelor's Degree in athletic training is required (Master's Degree Preferred). National Athletic Trainers Association certification is also required. The hired party is expected to adhere to the Athletic Training and National Athletic Trainers Association Code of Ethics and remain current on all national requirements for certification. This position requires being present for all evening/weekend home athletic contests and all CUNYAC championship events.
The starting salary for the position is commensurate with qualifications with full benefits package. The anticipated start date will be August 1st, 2008.
