Despite the Loss for the Lightning, Tiana Rosa led the team with 11 points and seven rebounds. Leslie Mencia finished with nine points and eight rebounds, and guard Melissa St. Louis posted 6 points with 11 rebounds. Barbara Febus had a quality game off the bench as well, as she scored eight points and dished six assists in 30 minutes of action. Following the game, Lehman College head coach Eric Harrison gave his thoughts.

"I knew this game was going to be a challenge for us, playing a Mount Saint Mary team that plays in a very competitive conference and does well in that conference," Harrison said. "They do a lot of things well, and they play a very aggressive defense and their style is very effective. We'll shake this one off and come out ready to play on Wednesday evening at York College."

Lehman College was out-rebounded by the Blue Knights 48-43, and the Lightning lost the turnover battle, committing 20 turnovers while only forcing 15 Mount Saint Mary miscues. The Blue knights connected with 20 of their 22 shots at the free throw line compared to the Lightning hitting on just seven of their 15 attempts.

The Lightning return to action Wednesday evening as Lehman College will travel to Queens to take on the York College Cardinals in a CUNYAC contest, with game-time scheduled for 6:00pm.
