For the past two years, the Lehman College athletic department has offered live statistics for all home games/matches for its men’s and women’s basketball teams as well as its men’s and women’s volleyball teams. Today, it was announced that live stats for three more of Lehman’s athletic programs – soccer, baseball, and softball – will be available to fans effective immediately.
“Having an option to follow our student-athletes and our teams through ICS’ live statistics feature is a great asset for us in terms of helping the Lehman community follow the progress of our programs,” Lehman College Director of Athletics, Dr. Martin L. Zwiren said. “We are always exploring all avenues of exposure for our teams, and now fans of our soccer, baseball, and softball teams will have the luxury of keeping tabs on those teams’ home contests, as long as they have a computer and internet access.”
Another great addition to the Lehman College athletic department involves the Lightning’s men’s and women’s tennis squads. Earlier this week, it was announced that bleachers seating 120 spectators were going to be installed at the APEX Tennis Courts, as fans will now be able to comfortably enjoy Lightning tennis.
“We take a lot of pride in having one of the few on-campus tennis facilities in the conference, and now fans of our tennis teams will be able to take in our matches on our newly-installed bleachers,” said Zwiren. “It’s just another thing that we’ve decided to add to make our home events more attractive for the students on campus.”
The Lehman College men’s soccer team returns to action on Wednesday evening, as the team competes in a CUNYAC contest against the Yellow Jackets of New York City College of Technology under the lights at the South Field. Lehman’s women’s tennis squad returns to action today as the Lightning battle Kean University in a non-conference match at the APEX Tennis Courts, with match-time scheduled for 3:30pm.
